Are you a young scientist up for a challenge? Apply to participate in EU TalentON 2024!

Initiated, funded and co-created by the European Commission, EU TalentOn is a competition for young, bright scientists from all over Europe.

The 2024 edition, taking place in the European City of Science 2024 (Katowice, Poland) from 9 to 14 September, is open to young researchers aged 21-35, representing all scientific disciplines, who will team up to develop innovative solutions responding to actual societal challenges. During the 4-day hackathon, the ambitious scientists will be asked to team up and respond with the best possible scientific solutions to a problem in the area of any one of the five missions of the European Union included in the Horizon Europe programme:

1. Adaptation to Climate Change
2. Cancer Prevention and Care
3. Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030
4. 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030
5. A Soil Deal for Europe


The winning team will be rewarded with a cash prize from a total prize pool of EUR 75,000.

Registrations to participate are already open and the deadline to sign up is July 7.
