The role of EU research and innovation for boosting energy security and competitiveness

This expert roundtable will explore how Research & Innovation (R&I) can significantly contribute to ensure European energy security and strengthen the competitiveness of the clean tech industry in the EU, in alignment with existing policies and measures.

The 10 October from 15:00 to 16:30 there will be the online expert roundtable that will examine and discuss how research and innovation (R&I) can significantly contribute to ensuring European energy security and strengthening the competitiveness of the clean technology industry in the EU, in line with existing policies and measures.

The event draws on the recently published Independent Expert Study on R&I opportunities in the clean energy sector, which aims to prioritise R&I actions that strengthen the EU's long-term energy security by addressing challenges within specific clean energy value chains.

High-level speakers and experts will take part in the roundtable, including Rosalinde van der Vlies, Director of DG RTD Clean Planet.
