MIP4Adapt: DIY manual and training on citizen engagement for local authorities

Published on: 04/12/2024

MIP4Adapt unveils a DIY Manual to empower local authorities in boosting community and stakeholder involvement in climate adaptation. This practical guide simplifies engagement, offering tools, activities, and examples to inspire inclusive, sustainable strategies. The platform also organizes online trainings on citizen and stakeholder engagement.

MIP4Adapt’s new DIY Manual for Engaging Stakeholders and Citizens guides local authorities in inclusive climate adaptation planning. Using the Regional Adaptation Support Tool, it provides step-by-step resources, participatory activities, and real-world examples for engaging communities and stakeholders across all planning phases.

The Manual emphasizes collaboration to reflect local needs, foster ownership, and ensure sustainability. Updated features include thematic flyers for creative approaches, private sector inclusion, and supporting vulnerable groups. This whole-of-society approach aims to inspire EU authorities to harness diverse insights, build resilient strategies, and ensure no one is left behind in the fight for climate resilience.
