Open call: BioProtect calls for Associated regions to support the protection and restoration of biodiversity

Published on: 27/11/2024
The initiative aims to improve biodiversity conservation tools, gather regional feedback, and enhance solution adaptability. Participants gain access to advanced decision-support tools, such as the BioProtect PPGIS Analyser, CO2 Calculator, and Marine Planner, alongside training and resources to fill skills gaps. The selected regions will receive a grant of EUR 100.000 each and technical assistance to develop roadmaps for ecosystem restoration and socio-economic transitions.
Commitments include providing feedback on tools, collaborating to refine solutions, and engaging stakeholders in evaluating outcomes. This program offers resources to balance conservation and economic activities, advancing Marine Spatial Planning and Nature Restoration Law goals.
