The call for pre-proposals targets research organisations, companies, commercial organisations, urban governments authorities, consumers and civil society representatives and it will be open until 14 November 2024.
With a total budget of 47 million euros, the call will fund collaborative projects that focus on circular solutions, sustainable mobility, and renewable energy in cities.
The purpose of this call is to support transnational research and innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning. The challenges are grouped into three themes called ‘Transition Pathways’: Positive Energy Districts, the 15-minute City and Circular Urban Economies.
The call is co-funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe. The projects selected will be funded directly by national/regional funding agencies from the participating countries.
