How to write a convincing impact section of a Horizon Europe project proposal

The event attracted wide interest – about 260 participants from 22 different countries; a real achievement. Turkey, Switzerland, Estonia and Spain may be proud of their most numerous representation.
The event was moderated and introduced by Mari Habicht, network partner from Estonia. General information about the GREENET project and provided services were presented by the project coordinator Miriam de Angelis from APRE. The main speaker was Alessio Livio Spera, a very experienced project manager and an excellent speaker from APRE. His presentation was based on 7 tips for developing a competitive Horizon Europe impact plan with a deeper look inside of each of them:
- Remember the basics
- Align your impact goals with the Commission’s
- Set clear impact goals
- Identify and involve key stakeholders
- Understand dissemination, exploitation and communication
- Demonstrate sustainability and scalability
- Pay attention to intellectual property management
The speaker’s approach of following the logics of a proposal development and bringing in numerous examples from actually evaluated proposals helped to deliver the message to the participants. A very important final tip was - Don’t let the evaluators look for your impacts, make sure your impacts catch their eyes!
