New SECCA Database Connects Central Asian Research Organisations with EU Partners for Cluster 5 Opportunities

Published on: 25/07/2025

The SECCA project, which supports the development of a more sustainable and diversified energy mix in Central Asia by aligning with EU best practices, has launched a new resource to foster international collaboration.

A comprehensive database of Central Asian research organisations with the interest and capability to participate in Horizon Europe’s Cluster 5 calls is now available. This initiative comes in light of the newly released 2025 Cluster 5 Work Programme, which includes several calls encouraging cooperation between EU Member States and third countries.

The database is designed to support consortium building by helping European stakeholders connect with qualified Central Asian partners in areas such as climate, energy, and mobility. It aims to strengthen research cooperation, promote knowledge exchange, and accelerate progress toward shared sustainability goals.
